Windows xp professional not connecting internet free
Please turn it on for the best experience. Here we take Windows XP as an example, and please make certain that your Ethernet Adapter is working well.
Step 2 Select Creat a new connection. The New Connection Wizard will appear then Next. Step 5 On the Internet Connection page, choose Connect using a broadband connection that requires a user name and password then Next.
Step 8 Ok, what is needed to access the Internet has configured. Click “Remove” to uninstall the hotfix. I read some fix, which maybe a suspect is the KB updates, but when I go to this update it says ” this update cannot be removed” and no button to “remove”. My PC was updated automatically today and after that I cannt able to access the internet due some proxy setting.
I tried scanning my computer with Nod32 and the problem was solved by deleting 2viruses After a day the Problem has come back and so I tried scanning my computer again But, no virus has been detected I also tried using the link from “Md Vasiullah” But still nothing has solved And so before I slept that night I think of some steps I am going to do tomorrow I usually create a system restore point in case of problem like this one.. Luckily, I am now able to surf the internet without this problem This may look like an advertisement but this is just my style of making a paragraph I assure you that this will surely solved your problem I had this same problem.
Could not connect to the internet. Everything works smartly now. Good advice. Thank you so much, tried so long to restore my connection and nothing helped, tried this and my old pc is back up and running. I was online! Thank you so much worked like a champ!!!!!!!! Try the connection again, if it does not work then click each box one by one and go back until you get it to work. Hope this helps :. Thanks Joese!! Not until I tried your last suggestions did my IE actually re-connect to the internet.
Thanks Dave. Good Work Thank you soooooo much!! That worked! You can’t believe how relieved I am to have finally fixed the problem. Thank you a million times!!! I still cant figure it out I have a couple other questions if someone can help me with this let me know.
Worked for me. Very grateful. I have the same problem with vmware server host on windows 7 ultimate. I try with virtual pc and everytinhg work fine it seens the problem sould be the acesse of the vmwarenat.
Thank You,Problem solved. View all 14 comments. I had the same problem. I uninstalled the Zonealarm firewall and installed the latest version – the computer was able to go online. Something in Zonealarm changed and was not allowing the internet traffic. If you have another firewall, try reinstalling it and post here so that others can benefit from it.
Winsock Fix worked a treat. Hi, I downloaded and tried winfix as instructed but still acnnot access the internet. I think I was affected by a visrus. I used Norton and malbytesware to remove it. My pc is now fine but the problem is I cannot connect to the internet. When I open the network area and go to view networks, I see nothing. I have reinstalled the networkadapter drivers over and over to no avail.
Any help, please. Reset network connections on IPOD 2. Disconnect then reconnect wireless router. I was having the same problem on hp laptop I notice it had an old antivirus program norton on it I deleted it from control panel and bingo I was online think it was a problem defitnatley with norton that it was shutting down my firewall because it was out of date but was still there occuping room where another antivirus needs to be thats up to date worked for me hope this helps some1.
Hello Breal, Thank you for your feedback. From experience, I have noticed that Norton has a habit to leave dong all over the system. I suggest that you look into your registry, there is probably some Symantec smelling residues in it.
I had same problem so I deleted old norton antivirus that was expired from delete it from control panel and it worked. Similar discussions I have internet but browsers won’t work. Internet connected but webpages won’t load. Internet connection failed on wireless PS3.
Router disconects when phone gets used. Connection keeps timing out. Modem is connected but not the internet? However, I cannot connect to the internet. Incidentally I am having the exact same issue with my Eee PC with Windows XP as well, after restoring that to factory settings too have installed Linux and it connects fine so I think it is an XP thing. The pc shows available networks, I have tried all the things I know, have set up the network and typed in my network key.
When I try to connect, nothing happens. If I try to repair, I get the message Windows could not finish repairing the problem because the following action cannot be completed: Connecting to the wireless network. I have tried: 1 Reinstalling the driver it says it’s Ok and is the latest one listed. To set up a new connection to another ISP, choose the second option, then select Finish.
Both of these options lead to additional setup screens for dial-up internet services that were popular in the early s. If your ISP isn’t listed, choose Set up my connection manually. This wizard assumes you are using an existing account. Manual connections require the username account name and password from a working ISP service.
Dial-up connections also require a telephone number; broadband connections do not. The next step presents three options to create a manual connection:.
